Second Saturday in the District

Rockport’s Cultural Arts Districts’ Second Saturday is a self-guided walking tour of  Museums, Galleries, Art Spaces, Makers Market, Farmers Market, Local Theatre, and supporting businesses, such as shops, restaurants and other venues.    Second Saturday offers live music, passenger train rides, refreshments, demos and opportunities for artists, artisans, art lovers, art collectors and supporters of the arts, to meet.

Art Walk – Art Walk is a free, alfresco, walkable art experience featuring art galleries, art spaces and other businesses located along Austin Street in the Rockport Cultural Arts District. The monthly events will be held April through December and include an ever-changing mix of participants and art mediums such as paintings, ceramics, jewelry, photography, textiles, as well as artist demonstrations, and more.

Makers Market – A local outdoor market featuring locally made items such as art, pottery, photography, handcrafted items, and more! Located in the Daily Grind Courtyard at 302 S. Farmers Market – A great place to buy locally grown produce as well as jams, jellies, & pickled produce. There will often be fresh-baked bread, local honey, eggs, and locally raised beef. Located in the parking lot at 105 S. Austin St., Rockport, Texas every 2nd Saturday of the month. Rockport Railroad Depot Museum – The Rockport Cultural Arts District (RCAD) restored and repurposed the historic Rockport San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railroad Depot building into a Museum that showcases artifacts of our rich Texas heritage.   RCAD utilizes the Depot as a transportation hub, providing a small passenger train for events in the Downtown District.
