RCAD Receives Bronze Antique Steam Engine Bell Donation from Caro Dugan

The Rockport Cultural Arts District (RCAD) received a donation from Caro Dugan of a bronze antique bell for its planned Railroad Museum at the Rockport Railroad Depot.   It was originally on an old steam engine train, and is a piece or her family’s estate dating back many years when her father-in-law worked for a large train company on the east coast.  The bell weights hundreds of pounds.   The iron handle still works, sending a deep “iron on bronze” sound of an old fashioned steam engine train.
